Seagate has just introduced its latest product: a new 60TB SSD hard drive. It is the largest capacity drive in the world, having four times the capacity of its last 15TB drive Samsung.
Of course it is not for the general public. The company presented the device as a solution for data centers that need reliable units for long-term data storage, and hopes 2017 will be released sometime.
Probably one disc of such capacity will not be cheap. For comparison purposes, SSD of Samsung's 15TB SSD, which was released earlier this month, costs 10.000 dollars.
The disc was presented during the Flash Memory Summit in her Santa Clara California.
