Η Microsoft ανήγγειλε πριν από λίγο ότι κυκλοφόρησε μια έκδοση προεπισκόπησης (Preview) για το Skype της "επόμενης γενιάς", η οποία αλλάζει εντελώς την εφαρμογή.
Η νέα εφαρμογή προεπισκόπισης του Skype, κυκλοφόρησε αρχικά μόνο για το Android, αλλά η εταιρεία υποσχέθηκε ότι σύντομα θα κυκλοφορήσει και για iOS, Windows και Mac OS X. Η νέα εφαρμογή, σύμφωνα με την εταιρεία "έχει ως στόχο τη creation, την αναπαραγωγή, την κοινή χρήση και γενικότερα να "κάνει περισσότερα" με τους χρήστες που τη χρησιμοποιούν.
Note: Skype for Android preview is only available in the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Philippines and Pakistan.
Microsoft describes the new application in the following way on the Skype blog.
"Ανακατασκευασμένο από το μηδέν, το νέο Skype βελτιώνει απίστευτα τους τρόπους με τους οποίους μπορείτε να συνδεθείτε με τους αγαπημένους σας ανθρώπους και, φυσικά, τις συνομιλίες σας. Έχουμε κάνει τις ομαδικές συνομιλίες πιο ζωντανές, εκφραστικές και πιο σημαντικά-εξατομικευμένες, ώστε να μπορείτε να συνομιλείτε με τον τρόπο που θέλετε.
The new features that Microsoft has added are options to choose one Colour and customize it in the app UI, the new emoticon reaction feature in chats or video calls, and the new highlights feature that lets you create a folder of photos and videos, and share them easily.
There is also a new shooting mode that instantly opens the camera when you turn it on. You can use it to take photos or videos, add text to them, or place emoticons on them before sharing them with others.
Another new feature is the search panel that is backed up by add-ons and bots to give you information from various sources.
