When all of the company's systems were destroyed around the world, Sony executives turned to simpler technologies to start moving again. 
According to Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, this technology it included notepads, but also BlackBerrys found in Sony's basement.

The company is still worried about the remaining data that is in the hands of the hacker and has not leaked.
