Η Symantec introduced a new unified solution that offers protection data and providing backup and recovery solutions in all physical and virtual environments of a company.
This is the implementation Backup Exec 2014, which is based on the features of previous releases, while it features new features including up to 100% faster backup and recovery, integration of Windows Server 2012, optimized management backup and recovery, extended cloud support and uninterrupted transition, as well as upgrading capabilities.
Key features of Backup Exec 2014 include the ability to protect against physical and virtual architectures with a single solution that creates backups in almost any device storage, achieving fast, efficient and flexible recovery.
At the same time, it provides up to 100% faster and more reliable backup and deduplication performance, including VMware and Hyper-V virtual machines, compared to previous versions of the software.
A special point of reference is the ability to control the status of backup tasks from one point. IT administrators can thus save time and simplify backup tasks by backing up and managing multiple servers with just one backup job.
Also, the application suggests a simplified upgrade feature. This is accomplished via intuitive wizards and insightful dashboards, which the application uses and easily managed, whether it has been upgraded from a previous version or switching from an alternative solution.
Symantec Backup Exec 2014 has been available since June 2, 2014, and as announced, service packs will be released every 90 days with Backup Exec 1 Service Pack 2014 scheduled for release in September 2014.
