Twitter will not count links and images in 140 characters

Some argue that the 140 character limit is an integral feature of Twitter like for fast news and also fast status. TWITTER

So it looks like Twitter will institute a compromise: a post from It states that Twitter "will not count photo names and links to 140 characters starting in the next few weeks."

Surely the change will please several users, of course, if adopted by Twitter.

So far, following his principles, Twitter declined to comment on the rumors.
