Twitter has just announced once again the very disappointing figures of the company's profits but also an interesting collaboration that could help in its development.
The Twitter will begin to work with the Google platform, DoubleClick, to improve how their ad's performance is recorded and promoted.
Advertisers will now be able to purchase tweets through Google's ad exchange service, DoubleClick. The partnership is very likely to help Twitter sell more ads, due to Google's huge customer base, but also the "amenities" offered by the DoubleClick platform (details, etc.).
"We want advertisers to know about actions beyond their website, clicks on platforms like ours (eg retweets) and the role they play in determining a campaign ROI," Twitter said in a blog post.
This is not the first time Twitter and Google have come so close… Earlier this year, the two companies reached an agreement on tweets appearing in Google search results.
Twitter also announced that it has acquired a marketing company called TellApart to help its advertisers again to understand how effective their campaigns are.
