UBports is a community-developed fork of Canonical's Ubuntu Touch mobile operating system. The last version of the project is UBports 16.04 OTA-20.
The new version brings several changes to the notifications.
“We've implemented LED notification support for Halium 9-based devices. If the device still doesn't blink, keep in mind that many recent devices no longer have a notification LED: the Vollaphone and Pixel 3a can't blink naturally. Also, vibration now works for incoming notifications on these devices. Added support for Khmer and Bengali fonts to support users from these locales a bit better. It is now possible to set a custom notification sound. As with sounds call, you can now select any accessible audio file to play when a new notification arrives. Let's annoy our colleagues in style!
Some new devices have been added to the list of enabled devices installations: Xiaomi Redmi 9 and 9 Prime (lancelot), Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 (merlin), Note 9 Pro (joyuese), Note 9 Pro Max (excalibur), Note 9S (curtana), Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro (gram) and Pixel 2 (walleye).
However, the Pixel 2 has some problems with battery life, so it may not be fully ready for everyday use.
Additional information is available at announcement of the new release. Supported devices and download options can be found at UBports download page.
