Microsoft as we mentioned in previous publication, began to offer native Ubuntu support through its Windows 10 operating system.
Today the company seems to have gone one step further:
As promised, today you can download Ubuntu directly from Windows Store. Installing an entire operating system has become as easy as downloading one applicationfrom the company's Store.
But "easy" is relevant.
The feature is currently only available to users participating in the Windows Insider Program. You should also pre-enable the Windows Subsystem for Linux (Windows Subsystem for Linux).
Those who are interested should know that this is the Ubuntu command line and is not meant to run graphical applications.
So the use of distribution through the Windows platform is primarily for developers and system administrators. Of course there is always the solution to add a GUI that will run with a lot of problems.
Adding the popular distribution to Windows Store it doesn't make things much easier, but it saves one two typing on the command line.
