Tencent said on Friday that the application WeChat messaging (currently has over 600 million users) was breached by hackers who exploited a security flaw.
After a preliminary investigation, the company said no customer data or money has been stolen from TenPay eWallets, which allow users in China to buy goods and services directly through the app.
"A security flaw was recently discovered and is affecting iOS users running WeChat in version 6.2.5."
“The flaw, based on external hack attempt, has been fixed and will not affect users who upgrade to version 6.2.6, available starting today at App Store,” Tencent reports.
Let's say at the end of August, the British police warned of frauds in this application that tried to trick users into buying gift cards in exchange for offline sex services.
Also worrying is the fact that there are too many videos and posts on Internet on how to hack We Chat accounts.
So if you're using the app, it's a good idea to update with the latest version released for iOS from the link below.
