Following the initial reactions, the company sought to clarify its position, and chose to delay the implementation of the new policy. Eventually, however, the new Terms of Service were released as an option, except in one specific case.
While there will always be skepticism about sharing information with Facebook especially if you don't use Facebook directly, the root cause of its recent controversy serviceς WhatsApp with the public was "we decide and we order".
He said little about the exact purpose of the change, the nature and limitations of this data sharing policy. After a lot of delays the company tried to review and finally give up these terms.
WhatsApp initially said it was planning to limit it functionalover time until users accept the new reality. Strong criticism forced the company to revamp the new ToS (from Terms of Service) and finally make it optional, except for businesses messaging services that use cloud providers. In this case, users will have to agree to these terms before they can even send messages in this business.
This is a policy that WhatsApp probably had to follow from the beginning, because it concerns the real purpose of the new privacy policy or at least the purpose stated by the company.
So regular WhatsApp users should not worry about the new privacy policy. There is currently no known date for announcing these changes, but hopefully an announcement from WhatsApp will stop the controversy.
