Of course, no one from the company admits it, but the dislike is almost universal. So the company announced that it will stop Sponsored Stories. The statements remained statements and the company will not make new ones from then on. However, there are already several lawsuits that pressure the company to the specific feature from its ads.

Sponsored Stories have caused anger among many who do not want to use their name to promote a product. For this reason, Brazil's Institute of Computer Law (IBDI) filed a lawsuit and asked 33 for millions of dollars from the social network because this type of advertising violates the privacy of the users.

IBDI is additionally asking Facebook to disable these ads in addition to the damages it has to pay to of.

Recall that in 2012, Facebook paid $10 million to users who had filed a class action lawsuit against regarding the legality of advertisements.

The lawsuit, of course, does not mean anything to the gossip company, as the revenue it receives such a fine looks like a funny amount.
