In January we published the acquisition of Winamp media player and adjacent services (such as Shoutcast music streaming service) from Radionomy. AOL eventually instead of closing the service preferred to sell it.
If we look at the official website of the service today Winamp.com we will notice that there are significant external changes. The new owner has taken over all the services and currently there are no download links.
A short message to its forum Winamp reveals that redesign is about to be completed soon and download links will be restored within the next few days.
"The winamp.com website is under reviewconstruction and an almost-completely redesigned one. As a result, many new features will be available, including some of its services client. Downloads of the application Winamp will be temporarily unavailable, while o codes that of the previous owner has been removed/replaced,” the publication states.
