Windows 10 2004 Disk Cleanup corrupts the boot

The 2004 edition of 10, or the May 2020 Update was released a few months ago and continues to be available on more devices as Microsoft uses a step-by-step debugging feature.

When a problem is detected, the availability of subsets of devices that could be affected by the same issue is automatically suspended, and Microsoft promises updates.

However, Microsoft seems to have fixed it recently some issues without the need to upgrade. One such example concerns a recent problem affecting the Disk Cleanup tool (), which according to Microsoft, has corrupted some devices to the point where they cannot boot.Windows 10 May 2020 Update has been officially released

Microsoft doesn't say much about the whole thing, though confirms THE EXCELLENT:

So technically, after installing it May 2020 Update στο build 19041.21, η Εκκαθάριση Δίσκου (Disk Cleanup) μπορεί να προκαλέσει φθορές στο boot της συσκευής.

To resolve the issue, Microsoft offers a special Disk Cleanup Troubleshooter that is enabled on Windows 10 devices and starts automatically. What this troubleshooting tool does is simply disable the automatic launch of the Disk Cleanup application, possibly to prevent the removal of some files that are needed.

The troubleshooting tool cannot be started manually and will only run automatically if the aforementioned problem affects your device.
