Windows 10 is known that they collect data by their users via telemetry and have a long history of concern for privacy worldwide.
Recently, a Dutch data protection agency warned again about the data collection process that takes place after the installation of the operating system.
The Dutch service has approached Microsoft's privacy regulator in Europe to request a thorough investigation into a number of concerns, as a post earlier this year revealed that the company he hasn't done anything to significantly mend it themeprivacy protections.
The investigation will be conducted by the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) as he says at TechCrunch, the privacy officer who confirmed that a detailed analysis of the privacy checks in Windows 10 will be performed.
"DPC is working with the Dutch DPA (data protection agency) on this issue," said a DPC spokesman.
DPC had a preliminary commitment with Microsoft and with the help of the Dutch authority, we will be working with Microsoft soon to seek substantive answers to the concerns that arise.
Microsoft explains in a statement that it is already working with the Dutch organization to improve privacy in Windows 10 and that this new research is another opportunity to further improve the operating system.
The Dutch Data Protection Authority has expressed its concerns about data protection in consumer versions of Windows 10, Windows 10 Home and Pro. We will work with the Irish Data Protection Commission to answer any further questions or concerns as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the Dutch service warns that Microsoft in addition to diagnostic data collects non-diagnostics in Windows 10, explaining that research by the Irish Data Protection Commission should help determine if the company is processing more information of the ones you really need.
