The upcoming Windows 10 will feature ransomware protection, enabling operating users to back up to the cloud via OneDrive directly through the operating system.
Ransomware is one of the most important threats currently in the Internet and Microsoft is reportedly pushing more adoption of the latest version of Windows 10 that will enable this feature.
A Publication from HTNovo reveals that the company promotes security alerts in Windows to highlight the importance of ransomware protection in Windows 10, recommending that users enable the feature from Settings.
A notice appears in Windows Security Center (in the upcoming version it will be called Windows Security) when the application is opened. The alert suggests users set OneDrive to automatically back up certain files as protection against ransomware.
This the feature is not new, since it was originally added in Windows 10 April 2018 which was released earlier this year. But apparently Microsoft is waiting for more users to try it in the upcoming Windows 10 October 2018 Update.
The update will probably be released publicly this week. For those of you who are interested in an immediate update, read the publication:
