Windows 10 October 2018: New information has been released about the upcoming major update of Windows 10. It has now been officially announced that the version known as Redstone 5 will be called Windows 10 October 2018 Update, and will come in 1809.
Microsoft revealed today that it will use the name “Windows 10 October 2018 Update” for the next big release, which is known as Redstone 5. Of course there is no surprise as the name (like the previous one) specifies the month and year of the release of the update.
Publishing to the official Windows blog he says:
I'm pleased to announce that the next update in Windows will be called Windows 10 October 2018 Update
The 10 Windows 2018 update will be released as 1809, and Microsoft intends to sign RTM on 25 September, with plans to launch its release to the public in the early days of October. If everything goes according to the plan, Microsoft will release the build it intends to release to the public on 14 September to Insiders.
