Windows 11: Local account? It will cost you something more

Last night, το iGuRu.gr δημοσίευσε πρώτο την διαρροή του επερχόμενου λειτουργικού συστήματος της Microsoft, Windows 11. Ας δούμε όμως και κάτι άλλο που θα διαρρεύσει σύντομα: Θέλετε ένα τοπικό ; It will cost you extra money!

This change is not surprising: Microsoft has long been pushing to link to company accounts, trying to hide the creation of a local account when installing the operating system. One of the tricks that worked was disconnecting from the internet before the point where the installation requires connecting to an account.

microsoft account

In Windows 11, this trick does not seem to work. With a standard version of Windows 11 Home, you will no longer be able to create a local account. You will need the most expensive version of Windows 11 Professional.

With Windows 11 Professional, you can choose Personal Use > Sign-in Options > Offline Account > Experience to create a local account. You cannot do this in Windows 11 Home.

Is Windows 11 Windows 10X?

It looks like Microsoft has assigned Windows 10X to the upcoming Windows 11 operating system. The new design in the Start menu that existed in Windows 10X also appears in 11. Live tiles are gone.

For some reason, the Έναρξη και τα καρφιτσωμένα εικονίδια της γραμμής are now in the center of your taskbar. As you open and pin apps, the Start button gradually moves to the left on your taskbar. If you close and unpin apps, it gradually moves to the right.

We expect more with the official release, or at the next leak.

For those who do not understand, Microsoft is trying to distribute an operating system that is fully integrated with the database of its users. Like Google's Android, you can't have an App Store if you don't connect to your Gmail. It does, of course, allow for a local account, but only for Pro versions, and of course for companies that pay more, anyway.
