Windows Terminal: Microsoft holds the developer conference Build this week to introduce a number of new tools. One of them will be a new one application command prompt released exclusively for Windows 10.
Ονομάζεται τερματικό των Windows ή Windows Terminal, και θα ενσωματώσει όλα τα άλλα εργαλεία γραμμής εντολών της εταιρείας, όπως το Command Prompt (cmd), το PowerShell και το Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
The purpose of the upcoming application seems to be clear: Microsoft wants to offer to users a central terminal application, regardless of the environment it is addressed to.
Windows Terminal will have a number of advantages over other command line applications in Windows 10, as the company will also support emoji…
In addition, Microsoft stated that Windows Terminal will support multiple tabs. The application will have different themes.
The app will be faster according to the company for “heavy functions file system” and offers “significant speed benefits”.
Of course we are not going to see Windows Terminal from tomorrow, but it will be released gradually with Windows 10.
Microsoft plans to make the app available to Windows users Insider which will start next month. The company hasn't said when it will roll it out to everyone, but there's a chance we'll see it in the next big Windows 10 update coming in the fall.
