Yaru: Ubuntu partner Didier Roche today announced the name of a new theme for the upcoming Ubuntu 18.10 (Cosmic Cuttlefish). Along with the name, he also published some images that show the new theme.
Yes the upcoming Ubuntu 18.10 (Cosmic Cuttlefish) operating system will feature a completely new theme and icons from prechoice in the new facilities. The new theme has been developed by various members of the Ubuntu community and not by Canonical developers. The new theme is called Yaru.
Yaru development started a few months ago when Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) was released. But today and after the announcement it seems to be ready for testing. THE team development is expected to improve the theme in the coming months, with the help of those who will test it on their systems.
The new Yaru theme is based on GNOME Shell and Adwaita themes, and in the coming days, will be added to daily build images of the upcoming Ubuntu 18.10 operating system (Cosmic Cuttlefish).
