As shown YouTube is catching up with technology. Why; With a significant update to its quality pictures added support video for HDR.
If you do not know what this means, HDR videos are somewhat similar to HDR photos, in that they allow more tones between the brightest and darker parts of the image.
Of course, the full range of tones of color is missing (the table showing the differences between the different tones of a color) which means you will not be able to see the difference.
So the HDR probably will not be fully appreciated by most Youtube users, let most of us have no 4K TV, let alone one with HDR.
The company also announced that for now you won't be able to edit HDR videos you upload with the YouTube Web editor. for more information for HDR and color gradation, you can see the Google support page.
HDR is coming to Chromecast Ultra ap;o today and “soon” to all its 4K TVs Samsung (although the full range of colors and brightness will only appear on those with SUHD panels).
There is currently no mention of the Xiaomi Mi Box or the Nvidia shield, both of which support HDR, although Google says more devices will follow later.
