A list containing usernames and passwords access in plain text for over 1.800 game accounts Minecraft leaked online.
It is not clear where the database was leaked from, but it appears that some of the users affected are from Germany, as reported by the Heise news website.
The publication also reports that the cyber criminals who leaked the credentials also published proof that the accounts were valid.
Apart from the fact that the log-in data on the website can be used to download the full version of the game, may also play the game on behalf of the rightful owner.
However, with each leakage this kind of raises a more important issue, that of password recycling. It is a known fact that many people use the same password to log into other online accounts.
Cyber criminals know it and will of course test entry credentials that have leaked to other online services.
