Dell has announced three new Dell Precision laptops that will be released with the Ubuntu Linux operating system.
Below are Dell Precision 5540, Dell Precision 7540 and Dell Precision 7740, the latest Dell Precision laptops that come with Ubuntu. They promise better performance than previous models, namely Dell Precision 3530, 5530, 7530 and 7730. were released at the end of 2018.

The Dell Precision 5540 is the cheapest of all the models, but it looks very powerful as it comes with Intel Xeon E or Intel Core 9th generation processors with up to 8 cores, up to 64GB of RAM, up to 4TB of storage and professional-grade graphics with GPU Nvidia Quadro T2000 (4GB RAM).
On the other hand, the portable computers Dell Precision 7540 comes for the most demanding with Intel Xeon E processors or 9th generation Intel Core processors up to 8 cores, 128GB 2666MHz ECC RAM that can be boosted to 3200MHz SuperSpeed and up to 4TB storage space.
Finally, the Dell Precision 7740 mobile workstation is a monster powered by the latest Intel Core Xeon E or 9th generation Intel Core processors with up to 8 cores, 128GB ECC RAM, 8TB PCIe SSD storage. Its graphics? Nvidia Quadro RTX or AMD Radeon Pro of the next generation.
It should be noted that Dell Rrecision 7740 is capable of delivering real-time ray tracing and AI acceleration through the graphics card.
All three Dell Precision workstations will run the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) operating system and are Red Hat certified for those who wish. Enterprise Linux 8.0.
