Cassidy James Blaede has announced the release of elementary OS version 5.1.4. It is the latest update of the project that develops a beginner-friendly Linux distribution with a custom desktop called the Pantheon.
The distribution uses as base Ubuntu. This means that all the drivers needed by the hardware you are using will be installed automatically.
This version updates (and renames) the parental control application and improves the application menu:
"Since our participation in last year's Hackfest Metered Data and Parental Controls, we have started to improve it operation του Γονικού ελέγχου. Εστιάζουμε στην ψηφιακή ευκολία, και αποφασίσαμε να το μετονομάσουμε σε κάτι πιο απλό “Χρόνος & όρια οθόνης” ή Screen Time & Limits. Όμως δεν είναι απλά μια μετονομασία. Το χαρακτηριστικό Screen Time & Limits είναι πλέον διαθέσιμο και στον δικό σας λογαριασμό, except from the non-admin accounts on the device.
So you can set your own regulations for the time you spend on the screen, the access the Internet and the use of your system applications. As a result of this feature update, Screen Time & Limits has become much more reliable than before.
If you had problems with Parental Control on previous version of elementary OS, try Screen Time & Limits from your System Settings and let us know what you think. ”
