Reuters - Η Facebook Inc is reportedly developing its own video-chat app, known internally companys like Slingshot, after the failed attempt to acquire her service mobile devices messaging Snapchat, reported the Financial Times last Sunday.
Facebok has been working for several months to develop a video chat application that will allow users to quickly send video messages using a touchscreen, FT said, citing people familiar with the company's plans.
The Slingshot application could be released this month, FT said, while pointing out that Facebok could eventually decide not to proceed with the release of the application.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is overseeing the "top secret" project after the social networking company was unable to acquire its Snapchat app, offering $ 3.000.000.000 to its creators.
The Snapchat app, very popular among teenagers, allows users to send photos which disappear automatically after a few seconds.
