Η Samsung is expected to unveil the new Galaxy Note 8 phablet on August 26 at a special event in New York, according to a Naver post.
Many were expecting the event to be held at the IFA in Berlin, which will start in early September. As the company seems to have changed plans and will present the new Note model even sooner, according to Naver from South Korea.
The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to feature planning similar to that of the S8 and S8 + models, although the most substantial change will be the addition of the S Pen plus and a dual camera configuration reminiscent of the iPhone 7 Plus.
The biggest problem for Samsung, however, is the location of the fingerprint reader, mainly because the company is trying to incorporate it below the screen, which does not seem to have managed until S8's release.
The company in South Korea reportedly has not completed work on adding the fingerprint reader, so it decided to postpone its release. So with Galaxy S9, it's very likely we'll see this feature.
As for the Note 8, the device it will feature a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. But compared to the S8, the Note 8's sensor will be placed in the middle of the phone to make it easier to use, rather than next to the camera, as is the case with today's flagships.
