Samsung is expected to present the new Galaxy Note 8 phablet on August 26 at a special event it will hold in New York, according to a post by Naver.
Many were expecting the event to take place at IFA in Berlin starting in early September. As it appears company has changed plans and will introduce the new Note model even sooner, according to South Korea's Naver.
The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to feature a design similar to that of the S8 and S8+ models, although the most significant change will be the additioncase of the S Pen plus and a dual configuration cameras that will remind the iPhone 7 Plus.
The biggest problem for Samsung however, it's the location of the fingerprint reader, mainly because the company is trying to integrate it under the display, which it doesn't seem to have managed until the launch of the S8.
The company in South Korea reportedly has not completed work on adding the fingerprint reader, so it decided to postpone its release. So with Galaxy S9, it's very likely we'll see this feature.
As for Note 8, the device will have a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. But compared to S8, the Note 8 sensor will be placed in the middle of the phone to make it easier to use and not next to the camera, as is the case with today's flagships.
