Thanks to Google Maps, hundreds of tourists visited a small, idyllic town in Norway. Where is the problem; Travelers did not want to visit this particular city they found 19 miles away from where it should be.
The tourists were looking for the Preikestolen cliffs, a geological formation in western Norway. When they tried to find a route, a damage to Maps of Google sent them to the wrong side of the fjord. 
So they started to flood the small town, which the locals could not explain.
The city's inhabitants could not explain the phenomenon, but at the same time enjoyed the turmoil of the tourists. The Norwegian newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad reports:
"Λένε ότι θέλουν το Preikestolen και δεν καταλαβαίνουν τίποτα. Τα Google Maps τους οδηγούν στη bridge Lysefjord και στο Fossmork. Ο δρόμος είναι αρκετά στενός και μερικές φορές φαίνονται αρκετά αναστατωμένοι όταν τους λέμε να επιστρέψουν. ... Είναι αρκετά αστείο. Μιλήσαμε με Κινέζους και Ιάπωνες και υπήρξε και ένας Αμερικανός που ήθελε να αγοράσει μια καμπίνα. Σκέφτηκε ότι ο χώρος ήταν φανταστικός."
