More specifically, the offer concerns:

• 32 Modular Servers with more than 400 fire processors and 6,5TB of memory.

• Central storage system 150TB capacity flash.

• 10Gbps network infrastructure In addition, HPE undertakes the installation and maintenance of the infrastructure, as well as the technical support 24 hours a day, seven days a week with specialized engineers, at no cost.

The equipment will be made available to the General Secretariat for Information Systems of Public Administration (GGPSDD), of the Ministry. Digital Governance, for a period of six months with the possibility of extension, if deemed necessary, due to the circumstances. It will be delivered to the Computer Center of GGPSDD and after being installed and configured according to the instructions of the responsible Directorate, it will serve the increased needs of the users for telework that have arisen with the appearance of the pandemic.

In particular, the system resources are enough to support 1500-2000 remote users with increased requirements in a virtual environment (VDI) with full, controlled and secure access to critical applications to be selected.

In this way, the possibility of operational continuity is strengthened without limitations in a very critical part of the Public Administration due to the circumstances with obvious benefits for both the state apparatus and the citizens. It is coming to significantly strengthen an already established and complete one infrastructure of the GISDSDD that allows teleworking for employees of the Ministry of Digital Governance, the Ministry of Finance as well as the A.A.D.E.

Michalis Kasimiotis, Managing Director of Greece and Cyprus stated:

"For HPE, the greatest promise of technology lies behind the good it can offer to humanity. Putting this commitment into practice and with a high sense of responsibility, we stand as helpers in this difficult and difficult time for our country and for the whole world. In these unprecedented circumstances that we all experience, we feel more than ever the need to support the State in its efforts to address the pandemic of COVID-19 and effectively addressing its consequences ".
