Intel resigning CEO Brian Krzanich for an erotic affair with an employee

Intel today announced the resignation of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Brian Krzanich, citing a violation of the company's policy. Chief Financial Officer Bob Swan will take over as interim CEO while the company looks for the next senior executive.

Intel

Krzanich's resignation was effective immediately. Krzanich also resigned from his seat on Intel's board of directors. It seems the company has a policy of tolerance for violations concerning him ethics and Krzanich according to a company press release:

Intel was recently informed that Mr Krzanich had a consensual relationship with an (an) Intel employee. An ongoing survey by internal and external consultants confirmed a violation of Intel's policy in the code of conduct, which applies to all administrators. Given our expectation that all employees will respect Intel's values and comply with the company's code of conduct, the board of directors has accepted Mr Krzanich's resignation.

Intel is still recovering from the damage caused by the Meltdown and Specter security flaws. Such a scandal, until now kept internal, could spell trouble for shareholders if they learned about it from the media. s.

Have we ever really heard anything like it in or do these only happen outside of here?
