One of the biggest content distribution portals, Kickass Torrents, started her own release group, called KATRG (Kickass Torrents Release Group).
If you are not familiar with the term Release Group, it is a group that undertakes the coding and release of new (or even old) pirated content. In most cases the object of a torrent site release group is the Movies.
Some of the best known Release Groups was YIFY, which stopped operating after the intervention of MPAA, RARBG, ETRG, and aXX0, which is activated in the area from 2.005 to 2.009.
As TorrentFreak reports, the move seems to be the same strategy that YIFY used to release existing movies with re-encoded content through the Kickass Torrents website.
KATRG has only 20 torrents so far, and seems to have gone up from an account it has registered Three years ago.
