A computer science student managed to run Windows 11 on a mobile phone Lumia 950 XL.
The rumor is slowly being confirmed that Windows 11 is running everywhere. A computer student managed to run Windows 11 on a Windows Phone and specifically on the Lumia 950 XL model.
Student Gustave Monce created a short video showing Windows 11 running on a Microsoft mobile phone, one of the first devices to ship with Windows 10 Mobile. It was also one of the last Microsoft phones to run Windows before the company ended support for its mobile operating system.
Windows 11 seems to adapt surprisingly well for it screen of 5,7 inches, but if it suffers somewhere it is in the speed of animations. Of course, the issue is not what problems it can put a beta operating system on a mobile phone, which after all is not intended for it. The point is that after all Windows 11 can be run almost everywhere, just like Windows 10 which they also managed to run on a mobile phone.
Monce and his team have created a special website showcasing their work, which includes tools, guides, and documentation on transferring Windows 10 and Windows 11 to these old Windows Phones.
