Apparently Microsoft does not plan to invest in Windows RT.
Windows Vista is pretty much known as Microsoft's biggest operating system failure, but it will soon be another product that will claim the title.
The RT Windows, which were first released in October of 2012 along with Surface RT, are likely to stop running in the near future. Microsoft officially canceled OS on Lumia 2520 tablets.
Let's see what happened.
Windows RT performance has always fallen short of expectations, and although it was available on Microsoft's Surface RT tablets, the operating system system was highly criticized by them users and experts who expected a similar experience with Windows.
So, despite investments made in Window RT, Microsoft recently decided to stop Surface 2, which was the only tablet still in production and running with this operating system.
According to one report of PCM, the company also silently stopped Lumia 2520, a Nokia tablet that operated with Windows RT, for the same reason.
Windows RT clearly do not have a future in Microsoft's lineup, and there is no doubt that the company is looking for ways to get rid of it as soon as possible.
But there is no easy way to do this, as too many customers have already bought a tablet running Windows RT. So the company is forced to keep it until their official release Windows 10.
