Informing the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office about an attempt to cheat citizens about promising awards and gifts through Multimedia Information ServicesMultimedia)
The Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate draws citizens' attention to calls to high-rate numbers that they are called upon to make in order to claim prizes and prizes.
In particular, in recent days several complaints have been registered from citizens who received phone calls, with the caller's details hidden, in which they were told that they had won a multi-day free vacation, but in order to claim their gift, they would have to contact the organizer of the contest company through premium numbers (numbers 901XXXXXXXXX).
These incidents already binvestigationsby the Directorate of Electronic Crime Prosecution, however, in order to avoid the phenomena of deceiving citizens and losing money through telephone bills, the following are highlighted:

High-cost telephone calls and the use of Multimedia Information Services (Multimedia) (http://www.eett.gr/opencms/opencms/EETT/FAQS/Faq_YPP.html) συνεπάγονται ιδιαίτερα αυξημένο κόστος κλήσεων και μηνυμάτων SMS (χρέωση είτε ανά call, είτε ανά λεπτό, είτε ανά εισερχόμενο / εξερχόμενο μήνυμα).

Participating in contests of companies with gifts requires accepting the "Terms of Participation", which must be submitted to a notary.
In case you are disturbed by Multimedia Providers. for Multimedia promotion purposes, or you have subscribed to Multimedia. without your consent, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
If you believe that through a YPF threatened or compromised the confidentiality of your communications, you can contact the Communications Privacy Authority (www.adae.gr).
You can also contact the National Telecommunications and Post Commission (www.eett.gr) to examine complaints to ensure that consumers are properly informed about Multimedia. and controlling consumer billing when you do not receive a service if you have already been addressed to Multimedia Providers, but no dispute has been found in your dispute.
