The openSUSE development team announced a new version of the openSUSE Leap version. The new version, openSUSE Leap 42.3, is a maintenance update for the Leap series, and it mostly brings minor updates to the system and packet updates.

The release ships with the same Linux 4.4 Long-Term-Support (LTS) kernel that the previous Leap version also had.
Leap 42.3 continues to use KDE's 5.8 version as the default desktop, as well as GNOME 3.20, which is also used by SUSE Linux Enterprise.
