The Slackware is one of the oldest Linux distributions, and yesterday it released version 15.0. The fact is important as the last version of the distribution (14.2) was released in 2016.

This release brings kernel 5.15.19, and updated PAM, PipeWire and PulseAudio packages. Wayland and X11 graphical systems, as well as the languages Rust and Python 3. As graphical environments, it has Xfce 4.16 and the latest Plasma 5 (Plasma 5.23.5, Frameworks 5.90, KDE apps 21.12 running with Qt 5.15.3).
