Last Friday, the Firefox users found out that their addons were suddenly disabled because Mozilla forgot to renew an expired certificate and was used to sign their addons. Because add-ons must be validly signed before they can be used in Firefox, add-ons have been disabled.

Tor is known to be based on Firefox, so the files of NoScript, HTTP-Everywhere and other add-ons signed by Mozilla were also disabled in Tor.

On Sunday, Mozilla released Firefox 66.0.4 which resolved the expired certificate, which allowed Tor to in turn build a new version of the program , with this one code.

It is recommended that all Tor users download and install Tor Browser 8.0.9 via the automatic update or through the site.
