An app for cell phones telephones named Twitch, which allows its users to easily participate in ventures crowdsourcing developed researchers led by Michael Bernstein, Stanford University in California.
More generally, participants in crowdsourcing programs often receive some payment for performing simple tasks, but very often these tasks take up enough of one's time sitting at the computer that at some point interest is lost. In Twitch's case, crowdsourcing is moving to mobile, with the app replacing the screenlocking» με ένα ειδικό interface για crowdsourcing: αντί ο χρήστης να κάνει τη συνήθη κίνηση «ξεκλειδώματος», εκτελεί τέτοιου είδους εργασίες, όπως, για παράδειγμα, την choice της καλύτερης μεταξύ δύο φωτογραφιών ή την επιβεβαίωση (ή όχι) ενός περιστατικού/ συμβάντος που αναφέρεται σε ιστοσελίδα σαν τη Wikipedia.
According to a report by New Scientist, Berndstein's team raised Twitch in Google Play and "recruited" 82 from the people who downloaded it. These users completed 11.200 work within three weeks. Researchers believe that the idea will respond as each job is extremely fast - a little more time-consuming than normal mobile unlocking. At the same time, the "spiritual burden" is considered negligible.
According to Rajan Wais, of the University of California, Santa Cruz (who will be presenting the application at a conference in Toronto in April), procedures for participating in crowdsourcing procedures often seem tedious, but when they show one by one through Twitch, will be encouraged, as there will in fact be no time commitment. "Research can now be done by everyone, and important things can be learned quickly by many people using cell phones," he notes. It is also expected to pave the way for a great deal of consumer research.
