Microsoft yesterday released the cumulative update KB4490481 of Windows 10 for devices running version 1809, which is also the latest for regular PCs.
The version became available only one day after it was shipped by the company, inside the Preview Release ring. The update is available exclusively for Windows 10 version 1809, which is also referred to as the "October 2018 Update", and increases the operating system creation number to 17763.404.

However, it is worth noting that this update fixes an issue that has affected computers with multiple audio devices. This is a error recognized by Microsoft in previous cumulative updates.
We read in Changelog: “Applications that provide advanced options for internal or external audio output devices may stop working unexpectedly. This issue occurs for users who select an audio output device other than the "Default Audio Device". Examples of applications that may stop working include Windows Media Player, Realtek HD Audio Manager and Sound Blaster Control Panel”.
In addition, Microsoft reports that it has fixed an error that caused the Start menu layout to reset after upgrading to Windows 10 version 1809. In October 10, the "Start" menu lost its settings, so this cumulative update tackles this unexpected behavior.
