Windows 7 less vulnerabilities than Windows 10

Windows 7 or Windows 10? A new survey conducted by RiskBased and analyzes them που παρατηρήθηκαν στο 2016 αποκαλύπτει ότι το περασμένο έτος, η Microsoft επιδιόρθωσε ένα μεγαλύτερο αριθμό κενών ασφαλείας σε σχέση με το 2015. Τα these were for Internet Explorer, Edge and of course the Windows 10 operating system.

Specifically, the study shows that last year, Microsoft patched a total of 729 vulnerabilities in its software, while in 2015 it patched 703. What's more worrying, of course, is that this number is almost double the number of vulnerabilities in 2014, when Microsoft found and fixed 383 .Windows 10

Research also shows that Internet Explorer is still the Microsoft application with the largest number of vulnerabilities. An all-time chart shows that the company's browser so far has had 1.261 imperfections.

Surprisingly, Windows 10, which is crafted as the safest operating system of the company, was first in the 705 vulnerability debugging order. Windows 10 was released in July of 2015 and 2016 closed a year in the market.

Windows Server 2012 ranks third with 660 vulnerabilities, while Windows 7 is the fourth-largest 647 bug. Windows Vista is in fifth place with 621 security gaps being repaired.

Please note that Microsoft has stated that the upcoming builds of Windows 10 will be able to protect users from zero-day even if no patch is available. Recently, the company revealed that the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, released in August of 2016, has managed to deal with attacks aimed at exploiting unpatched vulnerabilities in the operating system. So the operating users were safe before Microsoft released a fix.

In addition, Microsoft has already begun the degradation of Windows 7, explaining that it is less secure than Windows 10, indicating that 10 security features have everything missing for obvious technical limitations of its predecessors.

To be a little of the devil's advocate, Microsoft once again promises without a hitch and while the numbers say otherwise. Of course she tries with all these promises to promote her new product, and we have seen that many times and completely unorthodox methods.

However, what can not define any research, no provision and no promise is the reaction of the opposite side. Microsoft may promise safer upcoming releases, but hackers asked them?
