The Facebook announced its acquisition instant messaging application Whatsapp, against a price that reaches 19 billion dollars, which is the highest cost exmarket in the history of the largest social network in the world.
4 billion dollars will be paid in cash, 12 billion dollars in shares and other 3 billion dollars at a later date to the shareholders of the app.
"TWhatsApp is going to connect one billion people. Services that reach this level come at an incredible price,” said Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg.
" The WhatsApp has built a real-time mobile messaging service that grows fast and grows very fast, "he said in a statement, which also points out that the service has more than 450 millions of monthly users, of which 70% is daily active, while over one million people open an account each day.
