With the votes of New Democracy and Hellenic Solution, the changes in the composition of ADAE were also voted in favor. In particular, out of 26 present, 16 members voted "yes" (ND and Greek Solution), 8 members did not (SYRIZA, PASOK, Niki, Spartiates and Pleussi Eleftherias) while 2 members (KKE) said they were present.
The reaction of the MPs of SYRIZA and PASOK was intense, as they accused the government of planning to change the members of ADAE on the occasion of tomorrow's convergence and the imposition of a fine of 100.000 euros on EYP for the issue of wiretapping.
For history
ADAE is an independent authority whose operation is provided for in the Greek constitution. At one point he wanted to carry out an audit following requests submitted to the authority by MEP Kirtsos and Teloglou who wanted to know if he was under monitoring by the secret services.
The audit then confirmed that both men were under intelligence surveillance, but the reasons were not disclosed due to "national security".
The independent authority faced many difficulties in carrying out the audit.
For example, the then-prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Greece reportedly tried to block the audit saying it was illegal.
