With the votes of New Democracy and the Hellenic Solution, the changes in its composition were also voted in favor ADAE. In particular, out of 26 present, 16 members voted "yes" (ND and Greek Solution), 8 members did not (SYRIZA, PASOK, Niki, Spartans and Pleussi Eleftherias) while 2 members (KKE) said they were present.

The independent authority faced many difficulties in carrying out the audit.
For example, the then-prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Greece reportedly tried to block the audit saying it was illegal.
