As we have said in a previous publication, Microsoft he warned for the expiration supports of the 2004 version of Windows 10. This version stopped receiving updates on December 14.
So updating your system is the only option for continuing to receive critical security updates.
"On December 14, 2021, all Windows 10, of 2004 and Windows Server & Hosting, of version 2004 will reach end of support. After that date, the Appliances running these versions will no longer receive monthly updates better safetyand quality that contain protections against the latest threats," says Microsoft.
Needless to say, Microsoft also recommends switching to Windows 11, at least for those who meet the system requirements of the new operating system.
Those who do not have it suitable hardware should remain in Windows 10, which will be supported until October 2025.
“The availability of Windows 11 has increased to an expanded set of eligible devices. We will continue to train the machine learning model throughout the rollout to provide a smooth upgrade experience and provide you with the latest updates as we increase availability over time,” the company says.
