The WordPress development team released last night the version 5.0.1. It is a security release that is also needed for all previous versions from WordPress version 3.7 onwards.
So it is important to immediately notify your sites (* if they have not already been notified). 
The above means that all developers of its plug-ins applications should read the 5.0.1 release notes for their plugin compatibility.
WordPress 5.0 and earlier versions are affected by several bugs, published in the official σελίδα of CMS. We should mention that there are separate updates for WordPress 4.9 as well, for users who have not yet updated to version 5.0.
(*) Let's say that because of the nature of the update, the system can be updated on its own, since it is a security update.
