We've been reading quite a few bad things about Yahoo lately: Last month, a massive breach was revealed that affected data from 500 million users. Last week, the company was found to be scanning its users' emails, handing that information over to secret services of the United States.
It is natural, therefore, that too many users have thought of turning to other services that offer at least one elementary security.
The problem is that while the company gives you access to your account deletion, it does not let you leave Yahoo Mail. In accordance with Associated Press, the service has disabled a feature that allows forwarders to be forwarded to different addresses.
This means that you still need to open your Yahoo inbox to check if someone is still sending you email at your old address.
The only way you can update your contacts to change your address is through autoresponse out-of-office which continues to work, unlike Auto Forward. This feature allows automatic replies in case you are absent.
In the automatic reply e-mail you can write one message which will include your new email address.
